Chat with Patrice

I enjoy getting to do the Chats on the Farmhouse Porch. I always look forward to doing these, they are quite fun!

  1. How often do you wear a skirt or dress?
  2. Did you feel unmotivated after Christmas and New Years?
  3. What was the last thing that made you say "Wow"?
  4. Do you shop with a list, or do you "wing it"?
  5. I enjoyed this so much that I will ask this again. What questions would you like me to ask on our Chat?

1) I wear a skirt rarely, but I love wearing dresses around the house, or to Church. I love sundresses, especially living in Florida, they are perfect for the summer time!
2) When Christmas came around, I didn't feel like it was time for Christmas.. I don't think I was ready! Same for the New Years, I was not ready for these to happen. 2011 had passed too fast! Now that Christmas and the New Years has passed, I have been motivating myself to stay organized.
3) The last thing that made me say "wow" would have to be, finding out where we are going on our Mission Tour.. which we are going to West Virginia!
4) I like to shop with a list, it makes me feel organized and ready. Sometimes I will "wing it" though.
5) That is a hard question.. There are so many questions that could be asked. How about a question somewhat like "Would you prefer living in the cold, or the hot?"

  2. Hello, hope you enjoy your mission trip!! I dropping by from Chats of the Farmhouse Porch, would love for you to visit me at Visits With Mary. www.visitswithmary.blogspot.com

  3. So nice to wear a dress, and going on a mission trip. It is nice to meet you this evening.

  4. West Virginia....How gorgeous... though I guess your trip will be about different things to my dream WV trip (I just think of the amazing ride and scenery!) Hope your trip is blessed :)

  5. I hope that all goes well with your mission trip. Have fun and be blessed. :)

I'm here from Patrice's Farmhouse Chats. Have a great day!

  6. I forgot about how nice dresses are in the heat of summer - you're right. But looking at the frost outside, right now I'm not really thinking heat.

  7. Now, isn't that interesting...your mission trip is West Virginia. That's my home state, lady bug! Where are you going? It's a wild & wonderful state, but there most of it is really rural. We grew up in southern WV (McDowell County - Home of the Rocket Boys) and you almost feel like you've stepped into a third world country. Okay, it's not that bad, but you definitely can see the poverty. The sad truth is much of it is self-inflected - welfare reciptants and drug abuse. Of course the lack of industry doesn't help much, either. The coal mines use to be the way of life. It's not like this anymore. May God be with you on your trip!

  8. I'm glad you joined in on the "Chat" this week. The missions trip to W.VA sounds like it'll be an excellent experience. Our church went to a similar area a few years ago. My husband was one of the leaders. It was good for everyone who went and those who had the benefit of the young workers helping them with home repairs.

    Have a great week!
